By installing, accessing, or using the LieDetector AI mobile app or website (together, the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. What the App is and isn't

LieDetector AI is entertainment software. It produces AI-generated "communication signals", pattern-based scores and commentary derived from tone, pacing, and emotional rhythm. The App does not:

• detect lies, polygraph-style or otherwise;
• prove that any person is dishonest, cheating, abusive, manipulative, or dangerous;
• function as a medical, psychological, legal, employment, custody, or safety tool;
• claim factual accuracy.

Outputs are AI-generated and may be wrong, biased, or surprising. Treat them like a horoscope.

2. Eligibility & acceptable use

You must be at least 17 years old to use the App.

You agree NOT to use the App:

1. To accuse, threaten, harass, defame, or intimidate any person;
2. To make legal, medical, employment, custody, or relationship decisions;
3. To imply that the App's results prove dishonesty or any other fact;
4. To analyze a recording you do not have the legal right to record, possess, or share. Recording-consent laws vary, you are responsible for compliance;
5. To analyze content involving minors in a way that targets, identifies, or sexualizes them;
6. To attempt to scrape, download, or redistribute third-party content (YouTube, podcasts, social platforms) in violation of those services' Terms;
7. To reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits;
8. To submit content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malware, or violates applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

3. Subscriptions, payments, and renewals

3.1 Plans and pricing

The App offers two subscription plans:

• Weekly: $4 USD / week. New users may receive a 3-day free trial.
• Yearly: $39 USD / year.

Local pricing in your store may differ. The price shown at checkout is what applies.

3.2 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.

3.3 Cancelling and managing

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → LieDetector AI → Cancel.
• Android: Play Store → menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LieDetector AI → Cancel.

Cancelling stops future renewals. The current paid period continues until it ends.

3.4 Refunds

We do not process refunds directly. Refunds are governed by the platform you purchased through:

• Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
• Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory → request a refund within the eligible window.

3.5 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. We will give notice at least 30 days before any change applies to your subscription, through the App or by email. Continuing to use the App after a price change means you accept it. If you don't accept it, cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, copy, models, and brand are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by applicable law.

You retain ownership of any audio you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process that audio solely to provide the App's features to you.

5. AI outputs

AI-generated outputs (scores, summaries, voice narration, share cards) belong to us during the subscription, with a license back to you to use them personally and to share share-cards on social media. You may not present AI outputs as factual claims about any identifiable person.

6. Privacy & account deletion

See our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via Delete Account or from inside the App.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RESULTS ARE TRUE, ACCURATE, OR RELIABLE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND (B) USD $50.

9. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of (i) your use of the App in violation of these Terms, (ii) any use of AI outputs to accuse, harm, or defame another person, (iii) any content you submit that infringes the rights of a third party.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud, or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature survive termination (Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12) do.

11. Apple-specific terms (iOS only)

These Terms are between you and us. Apple is not a party. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In the event of a conformity failure, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these Terms against you. The App must be used in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms.

12. Google-specific terms (Android only)

These Terms are between you and us. Google is not a party. The App must be used in accordance with the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement applicable to in-app purchases. Google is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in-app on next launch. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the new Terms.
