Delete your account

Two ways to do it. Both delete the same things.

Option A. From inside the app

1. Open LieDetector AI on your phone.
2. Tap the Settings tab.
3. Scroll to the Account section.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Confirm. The deletion runs immediately and signs you out.

If you also want to wipe the analyses cached on this device, tap Settings → Data → Delete history.

Option B. By email

Send an email to privacy@liedetectorai.app with the subject line "Account deletion" and include:

• The email address you used to sign in (if any), or
• The internal user ID shown in Settings → Account → Anonymous ID.

We complete the deletion within 30 days, usually within 72 hours. We will email you to confirm once it's done. There is no charge for this request.

What happens to your subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription, because that subscription is managed by the platform, not by us.

Cancel your subscription separately:

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → LieDetector AI → Cancel.
• Android: Play Store → menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LieDetector AI → Cancel.

What we keep, and why

After deletion we may retain:

• Anonymized billing records required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years). These do not identify you, only the transaction.
• Crash logs at Sentry for up to 90 days, scrubbed of identifiers.
• Account-deletion confirmation in our records, so we can prove a deletion request was honored.

We do not retain your audio, transcripts, AI analyses, scores, or any other content you generated.

Data export

You can request a copy of your data before deletion. Email privacy@liedetectorai.app with the subject "Data export". We send a JSON file within 30 days.
